"Memento Mori 2" makes one thing better: the characters are presented to the player in a credible and really good closer. Especially the good voice actors provide credibility and emotionality. I really mitgelitten with Lara Durand and they could all play really good about suffering - even different than in the first part.
Unfortunately, the game loses in a somewhat banal mystery story that never really comes just as the first part in driving. While there is really thrillige moments, but these hold unfortunately very limited.
The graphics, highlight of the game, boasts a world-class engine that breathes the game incredibly strong life. I have never seen such a detailed and beautiful scenes in 3D garment!
The character animations are fine, the lipsync is ok. Unfortunately, some actions seem staged a little lame, especially at the end I would have liked to see more dynamism. For a thriller all seems a bit very unspectacular and sleepy.
The soundtrack is less visible and is therefore very pleasant. Some really good pieces are already known from Part 1 and adapt well to different locales on. I especially liked the piano piece in the main menu.
The puzzles are at a, in my opinion, more severe level. While this is not to say that that's a bad fact, but a bit more help would the game really well done. Often the game motivation falls by the wayside, which occur even in the first quarter of the game due Droeger minigames. This slows down the flow of the game and especially at the beginning of an adventure no means successful. The "Secret Files" series actually doing everything right: brisk, exciting entry which grabs the player directly. "Memento Mori 2" on the other hand tried to develop slowly but surely. For the impatient player so no great pleasure.
The police and detective work have what it takes, and you have the feeling to be in the midst of a new and exciting event of the CSI team. Here abounds the game only as innovation, yet wanted the whole not really bear fruit in me.
In the story, I will not go into detail, only that they may end differently and is not particularly original or memorable. Me everything was a bit too Mystery Toward the end, because the developers have a bit exaggerated. And despite the fact that one can opt for a rational way (this feature I find in the rest of very innovative and interesting), you will be overwhelmed at the end with paranormal events outright. Very bad!
Conclusion: Not a bad but very tough staged thriller without big surprises. One or the other innovation is impressive and also the puzzles have more pep than in the predecessor. Nevertheless, not my adventure of the year.
