After a lot of fun to devour the trilogy of the Ants, I found the same appetite for "Thanatonautes" (it is the last time regarding a novel Werber). As a teacher, I particularly recommend chapter 60 of the book, which is a real gem from the viewpoint of language tools: the actantial scheme is perfect; the treatment of irony, paradox of understatement true truth. Even in some school classes, this text study done at each reporting a real cardboard, sometimes crazy sincere laughter from students yet reluctant to play. The sometimes rather crude language and ordeal of Kerboz (a brave prisoner who agrees to undergo all sorts of disastrous experiences for his body to benefit from reduced sentences) help to make this accessible and crisp playback.
