Turbo-charger with small pitfalls

I do not know how many batteries were already grilled me over the years by various Voltcraft "Charge managers". Since the time-honored ALC 2000 Expert of ELV with today's battery generations unfortunately can not keep up and be approved for a 8000 D-cell ever cozy two days charging time, but had to be a powerful remedy. Then please without annoying fan.

In shortlisted so came: ELV ALC 1010 Ansmann Energy 8 plus and this here.
Supposedly, it creates the 2016 actually, four cells simultaneously with max.2,2A (not 2.5!) To load, so I decided, despite the previous experience for Voltcraft.

Thanks to the outsourced switching power supply, no fan is required and the device is always cool even under full load.
It can also be operated in vehicles with 11-14V and approved to be up to 21W power.

The quality is comparable to the cheap plastic standards of other chargers, there are no winners.
However, the loading times are exceptionally fast thanks to the very high charge currents and also the important role of 'unloading-loading' is present.

The appliance makes a lot automatically, or attempt it, but that is where extreme caution!
So the automatic charging eg GP ReCyko + AAA cells (permissible load current: 80mA) decided to fire the test with rich 1.5A, which brought to selbige to gain via the built pressure relief valve the necessary "air". These batteries were then down naturally.
Chose to the charging current, however, manually, all tested batteries were (especially the thick D-cells) always filled reliably and in record time, was not warm up properly.

Conclusion:
If one uses it properly, is the 2016 a very powerful part. Judging by the maximum charging current, perhaps it is even the fastest currently available universal charger for cylindrical cells.
That is why we must, however, also very careful with the matching of charging current and should back and again take a look to check on the display.

Senseless special features such as graphical battery analysis on the PC via USB and the support NiZn drive up the price, unfortunately unnecessarily high. Modern batteries can be filled without hesitation with a charger the battery manufacturer; who knows eventually best which flows tolerated his batteries. Processor control and monitoring Delta Something actually date back to the time of sensitive NiCd batteries, which had to be treated like a diva.

Nevertheless, one can save the batch Manager 2016 tons of load time and there is a strong buy recommendation. Before starting up but be sure to read the instructions!
