Undersized?

The interpretation and recording are excellent, and although I prefer more modest interpretations by the soloist, G. Carmignola do not know too much and just stay while showing his undeniable virtuosity.

In fact the star in less than just the size of the orchestra: I do not know this set, but it seems "undersized" compared to the work's strength. Result even if the musicians are great, my taste this version lacks strength when compared to the orchestras larger recordings. It is felt throughout the symphony, but it is obviously at the time of the storm that is most noticeable.
