Broad topic if any, but it is the ambition of this monumental book. A reference book; the world is no longer the same when we got to the end. A style substantiated alert content from a rare inteligence. By combining image, music and mathematical logic, Hofstadter takes us artificial inteligence, brain functioning, to Godel's theorem in music creation. I stopped there because this book is "in-resumable." If you want to grind your mind for the rest of your life, do not hesitate. Personally, one reading not enough for me, there is so much subtlety (both in substance and form!) I'm going to dive.
