Ordered, tried and I must say: not bad, but I would rather be in permanent version. 1
Positives:
+ Processing acts dibasic. Visually and functionally conveys everything a high quality. For me there was no unpleasant odors of materials.
+ The handles are more comfortable than its predecessor (grip & soft). (But also more difficult to clean)
+ To reduce wrist definitely helpful.
Neither good nor bad:
° The first version was still a Din A3 exercise plan when, with whom you had an easy start. In this version, there is only a link to Videos on the manufacturing side. If you like it ...
° Optical handles appear flatter and more compact than the first version. In fact, there are up to a few millimeters in height no significant differences in size.
Negatives:
- The bearing is not going as "approximately", as in the previous version *.
- The imprints nervous while exercising **.
- On laminate slip the handles, although only slightly but noticeably ***.
Here again the negative points in detail.
*: In a direct comparison, the previous version is running "perfectly". When I then tested the new handles, I noticed that the rotation noise is louder at first - they are clearly audible, even with loud music. They allow you to get used to if necessary. However, it shows quite clearly a difference in the rotation. Where the first version still very smooth virtually "infinitely" turned, I had in version 2 always feel the handles would "snap" in very small distances. Degrees in greater effort had the unpleasant then the forearms, which the exercises were not as liquid. My theory is, the new version is designed for higher weights. Presumably, the new warehouse can cope with heavier people easily. In my approx 75kg one notices the issues raised but.
**: Those who do not just trained with my eyes closed, who knows perhaps, if one can interfere with visual stimuli - such as a laser pointer freak cats can ^^. I found the greater become annoying imprints. You are no longer placed laterally but at the beveled edge of the top. Unfortunately, these do not just remove as many warning label.
***: KO criterion for the handles was the deteriorated underside. I train to laminate. Even if a little bit is dust on it, slip the handles of the first version no piece. The same scenario with these attacks and it is what happens. With wide grip position (wider than shoulder width), I had to put a hand inside again to correct the slipped position every 4-5 pushups. With close grip position the handles then slipped further and further inward until they finally touched - which of course leads in the actual rotational movement problems due to friction. The bottom like with their grooves look smart, but the reduced total combined with the harder rubber compound has less grip and is therefore a step backwards.
I can compare the handles only the previous version. For models from other manufacturers I have no experience. Unfortunately I can not give any recommendations for the "Perfect Pushup V2". Only those who are trained on carpet and / or a little more weight puts on the scale should be happy here. I'll stay he prefers in my "old" handles.
