so I and some friends of mine had already different storm / cigars / jet lighters. Most have a short time - given up the ghost - especially after the first filling. So also this. Immediately after the purchase, I have only once refilled gas. Then a flame soon began to stutter and then went no more. The other has also eventually abandoned. Just for information: Using the same gas I have operated another, zweiflammiges Sturmfeuerzeug over two years with no failures, until sometime the spark was worn.
Well, maybe, different lighter gases differ minimally in the composition. So I have four other attempts, most recently this Z-plus specialty gas here from Amazon. Of course I have before each filling first drained the old gas and then let the flame burn long enough to ensure that it is no longer the old gas, which burns there. Yes, with 3 of the four tested gases was already a flame, but just a regular lighter flame and no blue jetflame.
I then screwed everything apart, but could not find a defect. The flames would simply no longer adequate oxygenate. I then even tried to turn the valve on maximum, but then I also had just a huge, normal flame :-(
And the end of the story: I have installed the quartz from this lighter in my old, the now again is serving. With all kinds of gases and also, if I mix these when filling.
I have absolutely no idea why this lighter has so quickly given up the ghost. At the burners it is not - one of them I have also installed in my old lighter and there he works problemlos.Es must have something to do with the valves, ie how fast the gas flows, as this is split between the burner and as the aerodynamics to the Sauerstoffeinzüge the burner is ...
Definitely good lighters are not a question of price. My mentioned, old lighter I bought at that time for only 5. Unfortunately I can not remember the manufacturer ...
