Unfortunately, teething troubles

Unfortunately, I had to take several issues the set into operation.
It lacks a CD. The SW must be downloaded and it is only in the small print manual.
Even then you have to still click through to get to the download.

If the manufacturer already afraid the cost of a CD, but then please wenigtstens a package leaflet with the link big and fat, he immediately catches the eye!

After I had the SW finally found, downloaded and installed and even the Cube has been found, the next disappointment came :-(
The Cube need a FW update. Unfortunately this does not work from my laptop (Windows 8).
Quick laptop from work rausgeholt (Windows 7) also is not.
No explanation, what it fails, no contact and no forum where could search.

At this point I was almost ready to send the whole lot back.

But then I had at ELV a post in the forum found (ELV Expel an identical system).
In there was one should turn off all network adapters not needed at short notice to perform the update.
I then tried it yet with the old children's laptop. In order for the update of the cube was ultimately more.

Apart from the trouble with the update I can so far nothing negative to say about the set.
The components it could be easily teach and install.
The interior of the temperatures I managed quite quickly after I had made my own thoughts about the modes ECO, AUTO and COMFORT. At this point, I find the description and help a bit poor.

The program interface is convenient. For my taste, the entry of the week hours could be made a little clearer, but that's a matter of taste.

The Eco-button is a bit simple. There would be more desirable comfort. (Query or display of the current mode. More than 2 modes switchable).

The price of the sets I find quite appropriate.
However, one need soon multicomponent. (Those who live already in a 2-room apartment, and then still have money for heating Steuerunge from)
~ 30 for the thermostats are also appropriate. But ~ 20 for a window contact or for that simple Eco switches are definitely too much.
I'm thinking of making the producers thanks Mischkalkulation profit. In most rooms you only have one heating element, but often multiple windows (which ideally should all be monitored by a window contact)

My rating: Good useful to be very nice if you the teething problems (which will surely go again not every user on this scale) behind it.
