UNLEASHED on old and new paths

UNLEASHED have once again unleashed themselves, which for the twelfth time, and they ring this time the morning of a nine. UNLEASHED are one of these non-dead-to-get death metal bands, the (now coated words) somehow in 25 years sound the same, but can deal with almost every album small new accents, or somehow surprise as well OBITUARY, AMON AMARTH or VADER do every now and then.

But the fan of these bands will have no reinvention but the consistent style further commanded, but is pleased with some courage and appropriate experiments. Well, there have been experiments in the history of UNLEASHED never really and also not to offer so on Dawn Of The Nine, the re-fat Death Metal in the style of the guys from Sweden, while continuing to venture before than expected.

Nordic Death feeling coupled with the unmistakable voice of Johnny Hedlund fans guarantee the full listening pleasure. A New Day Will Rise brings everything with what you'd expect from the troops and somehow sounds fresher than all of Odalheim (2012) As Yggdrasil Trembles or (2010) though these were good albums and still are. They Came To Die goes a bit faster to works, but right UpTempo hurricanes are among the Northmen anyway rather scarce, and so gallops drummer Anders Schulz as we love through the song, press here times the double bass and sets in the dramatic chorus matching blast beats a while Johnny with church quotations throw around. A surprisingly intense song that shows that the ideas UNLEASHED not go out even after 25 years. Another highlight is the stick-Single Where Is Your God Now ?, in which also stirred vigorously, and the blasts and chord riffs slip black metal feeling, which we already know from Odalheim, bring with them. Defenders Of Midgard sounds even doomy without ever departing from the actually band sound. Who or what is The Bolt Thrower addressed, we need probably not long to discuss. Hedlund sings a trail deep, it comes to war, and so rolled out the Riffpanzer without mercy on his way, but also tunes it knows fire.

Never UNLEASHED were so atmospheric, gloomy, menacing and varied. The title track stomps back doomy, tough and enthralling then condemned and created an incredible tension, while hits like Let The Hammer Fly or Where The Churches Once Burned serve the fans of all the decades in the best UNLEASHED-style with a few new features and cool details.

Since it is believed a band that remains her style so consistently faithful as UNLEASHED it does, would have said after more than 25 years, all because they teach us with only a hammer album immediately better. UNLEASHED UNLEASHED are and will remain with all its trademarks, yet so far and successfully as in Dawn Of The Nine they have never ventured on another terrain. A highlight in terms of old-school death metal in this young year.
