Basically it's all actually primarily by a certain sense of security. Ultimately, any security system, as long as they do not use electric fences, mines or the like. is connected, actually only just one cause: to scare a potential burglar animal and put to flight. In conjunction with other sensors such as smoke or water detectors, they should also warn before the respective disasters. In this respect, there is actually broadly just exactly a requirement that it must fulfill a part: It has to be reliable. And exactly at this a requirement fails, the Olympic grounds terrific ...
First of all, the system in its present state has a nasty bug that at least some users prevents you can log in as a smoke detector more. Some users may obviously sign up absolutely no smoke detectors. Have this problem here already several users reported in reviews and discussions, and also the manufacturer, the problem is known. Whose only solution to the problem at present is that one should send in the entire system and the manufacturer then undertakes the registration of all components themselves. Of course this is a totally unacceptable solution, among other things, because it is time-consuming, an individual designation and the OGM of own names is not possible, and above all, because the procedure would have to be have some more smoke alarms that are purchased later repeated. A solution here can logically only be an update of the system. Since there is no way for a firmware update, but is this too, if it because at some point is a new version, make a sending in to the manufacturer required.
Is this by itself already an exclusion criterion, so still comes another, almost even bigger problem: The system does not respond to desöfteren sensor tripping. I noticed was this was heard to alarm right the first time after coming home, as after opening the door not the expected 10-second countdown. In further tests then again everything was not working fine, but already the next time after coming home. A faulty attachment of the magnetic sensors I could rule out, as they always sent a signal definitely (indicated by the LEDs on the sensors). My impression (but does not have to agree) was that if the plant over a longer period received no signal from a sensor (ie just for example, throughout the day), then at least. 2 sensor signals needed before they responded again. But it could also have been a coincidence. It's a fact that when tested tripping (so if I the door intentionally and repeatedly moved) was almost always recognized the sensor triggering, but at least during the evening after coming home. Every second time no alarm took place.
This problem is nachlesbar in other reviews; an individual defect of my system is thus virtually excluded.
The external siren also separately purchased is not working or not reliable. Registration went smoothly, but at a test firing the part remained silent.
Well, you could probably say "You get what you pay for", and if I want more reliability, I have to stop spending more money. In most other equipment I would agree with this argument quite here but not. As mentioned above, such a part must have exactly one thing to be: Reliable. And there is then also already only one alarm not done one too many - the dear Lord burglar is unlikely to do me a favor, the door up a few times and shut again until the system triggers. And since I have to stop saying that if it is not possible, at the price, which is opened here to construct a reliable functioning alarm easy, then I'd better leave it as a manufacturer but remain the same throughout. For me as a user in any case generates an alarm system, which can not be used as described (keyword smoke detectors), and when I'm going to mind. 1x witness how she does not hit, a sense of security of exactly zero, so I ergo equally should not ask me any alarm need - that comes out to the same thing unter'm line. Well, almost. If "NO Alarm" at least I have saved the money for it. So at least two definitely have something of the matter. The manufacturer and the dealer
Anyone who has the system already and previously was content, I can only guess dringenst, just a couple of times when you come home not to disarm the system from outside using the remote control and check that it stops when opening. Includes an adjustable delay yes no noise feasible. If it works every time without any problems, then all the better.
I inzw. Another plant found that is priced slightly more expensive, is also based on the 868MHz technology and, as far as I can tell so far, in every respect operates reliably. Funnily enough, it involves an alleged Chinese no-name product, and yet it works much better than the originating also from China Olympic facility that carries a still under euphonious remembered at least from directory, run times brand name. This is now well known, but only just that - a brand name.
