Housed in a NetBook Acer 751h, I had several problems during Windows 7 installation During the initial formatting, SSD systematically spitting. I bypassed the problem by formatting the drive to another PC via a USB adapter. Following the installation went well, but when Windows Updates, I still had several freezes. By searching the forums I found a new firmware could improve things. After booting to a USB stick formatted with the tool OCZ, the operation went quickly and without hassle. Since then, I have had only one crash at the end of a full day of facilities and updates. The problem is greatly reduced but not eradicated. The SSD is used in light use (the purpose of purchasing the NetBook).
In terms of speed, I do not find the obvious difference that I felt during the HDD change my laptop (MacBook Pro Core2 Duo Windows 7) by a Corsair SSD (also with SandForce controller) if present. But the relatively low power of the Netbook (Intel Atom) is probably what thing. The difference from the original 160GB HDD is sensitive but not monumental.
