And the disco sound is unusual for Elton John - no question.
All this makes the album but just so special and so exciting. Many of the titles convince already at first listen. One only has an open mind on the album involved, and you approach with the expectation that you will get to hear not a common Elton John album. Judging the album solely because of his music, you come to a - if you like disco sound - as I find very positive result.
Both the single "Victim Of Love" convinced and the more than 8 minutes lasting disco cover version of "Johnny B. Goode".
So, I would recommend this album as an entry or representative album certainly no Elton John beginners. But anyone who already knows something Elton John, and wants to see me, what a versatile music this man has already done, is well supplied with this album.
