I am writing in the dark (Paperback)

Customer Review

Beautiful novel by Jean Luc Rye, who willingly took part "to" her heroine, Pauline Dubuisson, guilty of murdering her lover, in particularly unforgiving conditions, while they were both students in medicine. The most striking in this text is the cruel painting of France immediately after the war, which has not dressed his wounds and Pauline does not forgive his past lost girl, shaved at the Liberation. The scene of the mowing Pauline and gang rape is a horror summit, and a literature Summit. Rye depicts the humiliation of the girl with a masterful dramatic sense. However he does not dwell on the darker sides of his heroine. Nothing on the crime either, and that's unfortunate. I wanted to know more: the same story, "The Pauline Dubuisson case," Serge Jacquemard at Black River, offers a less literary look, but more complete factually. The story is analyzed from the criminal angle, with a comprehensive study of the character of the victim .. Obviously Froment was inspired. We find some aspects of the character played by Brigitte Bardot in "The Truth": a narcissistic woman, proud and foolish of her body. Both books trace the portrait of this Dubuisson, most moving in Rye, but was a very black criminal anyway.
