All in all, the device and the bag compact and handy.

The bag is about 14cm wide, 17.5cm high and 3.8cm thick. Nearby her two smaller pockets with Velcro. She's the device and one for the tube. Of these fit into 8 pieces, 10 with good Will and squeeze.

Operation and maintenance is easy.
Unpack the tube and attach to the middle of the two small holes on the corresponding nipple in the device and with a light pressure, it locks into place. After pressing barely 2 seconds on the single button and the device turns on. After a short "warm-up", the date for next calibration will be displayed and the unit is operational ("Ready" in the display, a counter with the previously performed measurements are displayed and the Ready LED flashes).
By uniformly blow the measurement starts automatically. It is to hear a beep, which ceases when the measurement is complete. After a short analysis time then the result is displayed on the screen. Too weak or too strong a blow or even an interrupt is acknowledged with an error and the measurement ends. After pressing the button, the Alcotest ready to go after a few seconds (the higher the value previously measured alcohol, the longer the renewed willingness).
The measurements themselves are very constant. Even with several in quick succession by measurements (same person), is always the same value, or slightly falling (o / oo in the range 0.01) appears.
The tube is removed by a slight movement lever again and the unit can be switched off by holding down the control knob. If you forget it, it comes to about 4 minutes by itself.
The Alcotest 3000 is not a toy and it just now and then for fun to use, as already expected, the purchase price and the operating costs (the tube) argue against. He does not provide the right fit for values (but which do not even the police better equipment), but shows nice as varying degrees of alcohol affects them.
Always be aware, however, that the measured value can only provide a clue. It blows too soon after the last sip, the value is too high. Depending on what you have eaten in the end, the value is also inaccurate, or deviates.

I find the tubes in the accessory bit overpriced advised (37-40 cents each).
Had the supplied bag, unpack after a strong chemical smell. Leave open after 2 days, the majority had vanished, but easily the smell is still there.
