To Hardware:
The diameter of the clock is (for men) probably rather small, so it does not work too cumbersome despite its thickness (for me). However, it is very thick (probably due to the measurement electronics), I measure 13 to 14 mm in approximately 4.2 cm diameter. As indicated, the subjective impression is very positive but, by no means clunky.
The tape is not reversible for a very good plastic (where ~ 2Monate) without scratching makes a stable impression.
It is less flexible but of course with a predetermined rounding. There are incorporated gray ornaments and two small air holes in the tapes shortly before the dial. The clock has a steel base diameter 2.8 cm.
Taken together: that the strip is relatively stiff, the real contact area of the clock is relatively small, the clock as a whole and the bands also rather narrow I am very pleased that it is not extremely hot under the clock during sports or on hot days.
To function:
Meets my needs wonderfully and useful. Tested while jogging, cycling, mountain climbing and sitting around even in stress situations. (I have clearly hairy arms but not ridiculous, but the sport I sweat untested slippery wet.)
Measuring works with me on all occasions without / me an error rate of ~ 1 in Fig.10.
The clock measures two heartbeats and then averages probably the time in between, therefore measuring time in about 3 heartbeats (one for preparation, two to measure). Measurement is wonderful while jogging (of course you have to have both hands available)
while running, hiking, and for me well enough when cycling. Cycling, however, requires slight skill / ride freehand then it goes very well.
The Schrittzählfunktion is very good. Works reliably after initial setting and allows to monitor the jogging path / hiking route without GPS. Adjustment for two strides: walking and jogging. Does not explain when and how the distinction is made (my tip is at a pace / speed of about 5 km / h).
Display distance, speed, steps. Automatic deletion of daily steps possible. I've given a lot of effort in adjusting the stride length and the accuracy is very good: compared with hip pedometer is a deviation from
I been incurred minuses, but not relevant rating:
The stopwatch reset without simultaneously reset the step number is not possible. For the purposes of an activity tracking throughout the day so you can not use the stopwatch or only once. In addition, a pedometer on the wrist for activity tracking is moderately well throughout the day. While the clock is characterized only from 10 steps to run to the kitchen but enough to make coffee with quite a lot to distort. (Same problem applies however just all just modern bracelets as Jawbone, Fitbit, Loop, Fuelband ....)
My (fairly petite girlfriend) can not measure her pulse with the clock. Why is unclear, possibly extends the contact surface on the wrist or not the skin is not moist enough or too moist. In others no problems. My tip is to measure the forefront over the bone directly at the base of the wrist.
