User-unfriendly and poor color expressions particular PDF Files on Mac

I want to say to point out that I am IT'ler and therefore absolutely am from trade. My old HP inkjet printer, which still works well, I wanted to replace it with a color laser printer. Print quality and printing costs as well as network functions incl. AirPrint were important to me. I've been looking for a long time and had finally decided on the Kyocera Ecosys M6526cdn. Amazon has as always handled the delivery professionally. As the home printer arrived I was very happy and could not wait to set up your device.

1. Problem: remove fuses properly and replace toner
That worked out well, though you should be very attentive. It contained very many backups that you have to remove all very carefully. The few pictures should have been better supplemented by meaningful text. Also, I have until now only discovered by chance the "switch" in the printer, which you have to press for the removal of toners. Here I noticed the first time that the manual is absolutely bad.

2. All properly connect, in particular the fax
Has also worked. Just embarrassing, I find that Kyocera mitliefert no fax cable. HP and other manufacturers supply always with fax cable, if it is with the devices to Fax devices. Kyocera has either not thought along or has just cost savings, with a fax cable is not expensive. I just used my old fax cable. On the rear panel are 2 sockets, in which the fax cable fits. As was described in any available to me the manual Kyocera jacks you have to plug the cable in which I have just tried one of the sockets. That was a mistake, which has ultimately cost me more than a day: incoming faxes were acknowledged with a "busy tone" from Kyocera device, whereby the transmitter has "no fax" issued the error message under the appropriate. Finally, I have rather changed by chance the socket on the Kyocera device, and lo and behold: the fax work right away. Kyocera has a lot of catching up to do here!

3. SMB and email facility
Anything but particularly intuitive. With two issues I know my way around, so it worked out quite fast with me. But again, I have to say that the manual is rather very poor. I had to make the configuration with absolutely no manual because the manual is here just very thin. SMB I configured both my Mac OS X 10.8 as well as for a Windows 7 computer.

7. manuals
In a nutshell: very bad! Included is next to nothing. You have to draw from the grid is all. And even then, the documentary is just bad. On top of that I have not found any articles or tests for Kyocera Ecosys M6526cdn the net. So you are basically on your own. 8. Drivers
Mac OS X 10.8:
I did not use the supplied DVD. Instead, I have the Mac OS X driver is loaded from the Kyocera page that the driver of the DVD were outdated. Even without installing the drivers, I was already able to print because my Mac had found the printer on the network quickly. The drivers for the Mac but do not bring much. Windows 7:

After a long search on the net and an online manual I have found that it is recommended to install the KX Driver. 9. PDF print makes problems (Mac)
I've noticed that I hate strange colors when printing PDF files. Black text is constantly printed bluish. The black text of the same PDF was printed by Windows 7 correctly, so I real black. This is an absolute no-go for me! I have to rely on the fact that the colors are printed from my Mac the way I see them on the screen and on other computers. This is a KO criterion for me. After testing a long time I have noticed that my own Pages or Word files to print absolutely correct, that black is black and not blue. Once I save these files as PDF and then print, I get back the said blue.

10. Print quality
Photos are conspicuously printed in a red tone. Anyway, the colors do not match with what I expected. Other images will be printed in varying quality. Some really good, others very poor. I can not say why this is, but I have printed the images themselves on other laser printers Kyocera unfortunately draws the short straw.

11. Scan
The scanner works incredibly fast. I feel that the scan quality is not the best, however, for me it is but adequate. The same applies to the copier. I find the automatic and very fast duplex scanning or the duplex copying awesome. It works faster than you can see, I find that very impressive. Scanning to an email address or to a shared network directory works great as long as you manage over the hurdle of the configuration.

Conclusion:
The device is very large. So I'm not sure yet how to return the device. Had I purchased the unit in the electrical shop around the corner, then I would have probably long since returned. I will test the device further carefully. If only were not the problem with the PDF printing from Mac. I'll probably soon announce me to Amazon, to get help.
