Very effective mirror heating - Here are a few tips

We have the mirror heating for 3 months in operation and are fully convinced.
The time is past when we had to clear the mirror after a shower. And everyone knows that the view mimmer not is particularly. When you turn on the heating before showering, you have then a clear view. No fogging more. With 55W of power consumption is manageable.

A few Tipps:
The film is glued directly onto the back of the mirror. Since it is the entire surface provided with glue, it has good contact for heat transfer.
The film does not work when the mirror is mounted on a plate (As is true for mirror cabinets is often the case).
Make sure that no suspension at the rear is in the way. The heating foil can not trim it. We made it so that we have ordered the mirror without suspension and those who afterwards mounted.
The suspension plate (DIY) normally takes about 10 cm edge, so the Speigel needs at least a height of 65 cm + and a width of 55 cm +.

We chose a 6mm thick plate glass. That's pretty thick, but the heating is working properly.
If you do not have separate supply line for the heating, you can connect it to the mirror lighting when supplies 220V.
When you turn on the heater after showering, it takes about 3-4 minutes to clear around the mirror.
For positioning of the film is important yet, that only the part of the mirror does not fog up, behind which the film sits. So think in larger mirror it to choose the right cut, or order the larger film.
