very engaging!

Adam and Christine cross a night on the Hapenny Bridge in Dublin. He stands on the bridge, ready to jump, desperate. Learning that his thirty-fifth birthday approaches, Christine starts an incredible challenge: to prove him in two weeks that life is well worth a living. Of course, it also is rebuilding his life (marital failure, painful separation, an invasive family life and no future ...). So much for her, as for Adam, she had to improvise a shock program.

Christine draws ideas in a coaching manual (which is particularly addicted), even if the proposed solutions are mediocre genre. But no matter, the couple became inseparable, through the city breathlessly, learns to know himself, seeks to identify the problem, launched a seduction campaign to regain the lost bride (by dressing up as Charlie, a must! ). It's pretty funny, but mostly very tender and endearing.

We fall completely to the characters (the crazy family, the bookseller girlfriend in despair, his eccentric assistant, who knows all the good plans to dredge ...) I enjoyed this novel, which is assessed on the duration, slowly and gently. It's unpretentious literature, but generous and that makes a world of good. We are surprised to leave the book with a heavy heart, regretting this adventure, simple and romantic.
