I've been running this board with an i5 3570K, but there are also older 1155 processors on it.
This MB is essentially a beefed Asrock Z77 Pro3 version of what is recommended everywhere.
I would definitely prefer this board, it is sold for almost the same price and has some extra features!
I am very happy with it definitely and would highly recommend it :)

Addendum: Those who want to overclock, is wrong with that at this board. VRM's are poorly cooled and could overheat even a slight overclocking and
BIOS has received a BES ********* Update (which is why I even had to reduce the OC of 4.2 to 4.0), which is intolerable for a Z-Series board, so 0 stars.
So: In the low-end Z-series at ASRock extremely careful not only with this model. I reach only to ASUS or MSI.
