I agree, the novel by Jesse Kellerman is a very good novel, searched, built and becomes exciting through the pages. I love this type of construction: a plot that gradually emerges from two stories set in different eras. He, however, had to pass the first hundred pages to start to bite a little more eagerly in history. I eagerly awaited the appearance of the famous engravings representing the children's faces. Then, the interest went crescendo and I have not regretted my choice. Many considerations on the art world in the US, a bobo and crazy world, a little too far at times but that is the essential backdrop to the story. I agree with the comment that refuses to classify this novel in the thriller category, even if it is heavily loaded with suspense and mystery. It presents a sociological dimension saga on background. Although we guess a little before the end the mechanics of the plot, there is a small element of surprise in the end. This book deserves to be discovered.
