This novel has several similarities to "The white coats" by Jean-François Parot for connoisseurs (published just two months before "Straw cross", we do not speak of plagiarism).
If the novel by Philippe Bouin is closer to the chronological reality and real characters, I found that the spirit of heroes deduction is slightly too infallible to keep an aspect totally credible to the plot.
This does not prevent me to read more because my pleasure will was not decreased.
