I always lost when there are the kings of Navarre and Henry, the Duke of Guise, Epernon, and all other of the Court ... so well that I almost gave up after the first 30 pages ... My reading continued still tied me and I am the main character Gabriel through writing Denis Lépée. I did not understand all of this history of France ... but the novel's worth it because it is very well written
