A book I devoured. Although it is not innovative level scenario, the emphasis lot of these five teenagers that we will see grow, Vaelin, Dentos, Nortah, and Caelis Bartus. I like books with a strong bond of friendship, one quickly realizes that these four boys would closely follow Vaelin to hell. They are ready to die for the other, and that's really not the words in the air. There will be some flashbacks from the start then we know that Vaelin be imprisoned and that hand will execute. Usually I like the flashbacks but I found that here it finally unveiled a little suspense, so that I never really feared for life as we know it Vaelin will survive (at least until the flashback). I read in an interview that there should be three volumes in this series (if it does not change the view by then ...), the two volume already just out in English. I hope they do not go too much delay for translation. I strongly advice this first volume.
