What personally bothered me:
- The 414er had with me always in the mode "All Ch Stereo" the rear speakers too quiet, so I really only stereo listening. I hoped that this was not the case at the 535er. But the rear speakers also there are much quieter than the front in the "All Ch Stereo" mode. While you can increase the level of the rear's, but then you are in 5.1 mode too loud. So you have to readjust take. With Denon and Yamaha AVR's that I had tested by acquaintances times, all Späker were identical in the "All Ch Stereo" and so I think the Onkyo absichtilich so regulated via software (if necessary protect the usually weaker rear speakers).
- If you use Bluetooth and eg the tablet transmits the sound in YouTube video's on the AVR, the sound is no longer lip-sync and you can in Bluetooth mode not readjust / correct also. About an external Bluetooth receiver (connected via RCA) audio is lip-sync. Strange.
Since I did not bring the expected benefits to the AVR old 414er Onkyo, I have kept the old. There I use a further external Bluetooth receiver and an external WLAN stick. The sound is similar.
If you can live with the little "quirks" or still has nothing like it, get with the 535er a super-equipped AVR with a beautiful sound
