There are too many inconsistencies, starting with the behavior of every character that is not credible and that serves the story:
-L'héroïne Is supposed to be a woman of character as she spends her time to blush, do not even dare to look at his partner because of the attraction he inspires in him, sulking like a child for trivial reasons and frankly a female cop who is not even fucking defend against a drunk guy (who holds barely standing) in a bar fight! it lacks realism all that ... all these characters are meant to be installed in adult life with varying positions of responsibility and risk professions (cops) and yet it seems to be with a band college students clucking at least gossip about each other and playing matchmaker between them to expect to see their colleagues snogging ... although I admit that it must decompress and their reactions one side funny anyway ... we can not deny that there was a big problem behavior and logic with these characters: they do not react according to their ages and their work situations, they have more character and childish behavior of immature students.
-their character is quirky: all is well and all of a sudden they hate for no reason or events
-Of strangers are not as familiar with each other: by telling their secret wounds or by showing gestures of affection (hugging style in the arms, kisses on the forehead ...) while just come to meet for a few hours! person in reality does not represent "best friends for life" (so to speak) in less than 10 minutes of knowledge ... it is not the land of either Bears!
There are also many inconsistencies in the story:
-too misunderstandings: the first misunderstandings is not resolved immediately creates a second, after a while it is more realistic ...
-too trivial details on times and not enough on important passages
-too repeats: if we did not understand that the hero had blue eyes never understand ... it is seen that the heroine spends his time is "lost in his ocean eyes" and blushed at the slightest stammer look ... and they both pass their time to "lose in the eyes of each other" ... in short all these examples are mentioned every 3 pages and it becomes off-putting ...
As for romance, despite their mutual attraction, it does not happen much in this "future couple" setting apart still some sexual electricity and a palpable desire.
Yet despite all his faults I must admit that this novel has an addictive side as you turn the pages without realizing it.
That said, I think the story should not have been released in several volumes (marketing decision?) Or it's the break between the 1st and 2nd which had to be poorly thought because as it happens almost nothing in the first (which would only serve to introduce the characters I think, at least I hope for the future ...) it does not make you want to buy the second. Personally if I had not already had the second in my possession before reading the first I do not think I could continue with the following, as for the third tome remains to be seen will be the second to see if I buy or not ...
