I tested the camera under the adverse conditions in caves. The camera-weight of 460 gr (with lens Zeiss FE 16-35 = 1020 gr) can still be one-handed operation. For my pretty little hands (glove size 8) the camera fits perfectly in your hand, the controls are within easy reach. For large hands may not be as perfect. The autofocus works in the early evening twilight still very reliable, with stronger dim or foggy environment he comes up against its limits (the Nikon D800 has here brought about no sensible focus results). Since the E-mount lens from Zeiss (Vario Tessar FE 16-35) indicates the distance of the focal point in manual focus mode via the display of the camera, can be achieved best sharpness results even under poor visibility conditions (night, twilight, mist, cave). The digital viewfinder impresses with its image quality and brightness. I can for example easily read the text of the PC screen through the viewfinder. The plastic Kläppchen for USB, Micro and headphones seems to me a bit sensitive, here is a sensitive use advisable. With the harsh conditions of the cave photography (cold, dust, damp Clay, high humidity) the camera for the time has come along well. The photos obtained are uncompromisingly sharp.
