So I struggled through to order this KVM switch from D-Link. After two weeks, with the KVM switch I can only say: It was worth it! The disagreeable fault of my old KVM Switches are at the D-Link device no longer an issue - on the contrary, even though I have not changed anything on the setting of my computer, the keyboard repetition seems to have risen. The fixed integrated cable with a respective length of 1.8m may not cover every special case, but for the majority of buyers, they should loose rich. I was not sure if it makes sense to bring the ports for keyboard, mouse and Montor on the front, while the cable for the computer to come out behind. For mouse and keyboard may still go, but a monitor cable usually disappears always behind the desk. For me, however, the switch is completely under the desk, the exchange via the keyboard is simple and reliable vonstatten. When switching the switch gives a clear signal to be heard. The image quality is very good, I can not detect a difference to a terminal directly to the computer at 1280x1024 / 85 Hz. Even when a test basis set 1600x1200 / 75 Hz I can not detect any degradation of image quality on my 19 "monitor. One problem I had with my MX700 Cordless Mouse. If I connect this USB mouse via USB to PS / 2 adapter, it works sometimes very good (including all special keys), but in 2/3 of the cases it is no longer detected at boot time. Because I need a mouse only on a PC that is not a problem for me. It is further noted in the manual on possible problems with non-Statndard mice, the problem is not directly attributable to D-Link. If D-Link problems hushed up, the switch I could only get 4 stars. All in all, a highly recommended KVM switch for two (PS / 2) computer to a "console".
