Up on the handles of the screws of items is made entirely of metal. I use this holder for my Canon EOS 1000D SLR to get behind the window. The holder carries the camera far effortlessly, even without screw connection, since the plate is relatively large bottom.
But you should at frequent relocations (as in my case) certainly handle it carefully and if possible adjust the camera only unclamped, nothing ausleiert.
