Since we have a stainless steel balcony, was the first wind turbine also made of stainless steel ... very pretty ... but in a strong wind the balcony growled so loud that you woke up in the night of it.
This wind turbine is a little more colorful than planned, but it does everything it should:
- It runs in very light winds and storm
- It is quiet
- It turns slightly in the wind by the supplied feet (spike).
- Most birds feel :-) disturbed in performing, thus the cleaning effort has dropped significantly.
besides the construction of wind turbines is so soft that I can not imagine that small children can wehtuen so when pure touch. If the greyhound is withdrawn from the foot remains a residual risk for the eye, even if the end is flat and without sharp edges ...
Update 09/04/2015:
Unfortunately we had once purchse, because the wind turbine while is weatherproof but not hurricane resistant. Bring in My recommendation for hurricane and not wait until it's broken, ie at the latest when the rod is bent by 90 degrees ;-). The effect on birds is continuing.
