Now I have small, flat Ethernet cables heard and ordered me 1x15m and 1x20m - for less than 15 together.
The parts come together in an A4 envelope in the mailbox - first impression - Wow, so small!
After unpacking the the impression confirmed more clearly if you have a HTC One M7 sets next (see picture) - the you can almost put it in your pocket -. And we are talking about 20m Ethernet cable incl plug
Should lay Before they roll out after the strip slightly smooth because they are otherwise sprialisiert like a telephone cord, and can be laid badly. After twice smooth by hand but they are easy to handle.
For laying:
I wanted to make a big work with cable holders (glued or hammered - which indeed usually is difficult in concrete walls, and anchors - not sure). So I simply put a white duct tape (duct tape, gaffer). This can be torn off well by hand, and then the installation is progressing quickly. All 30-50cm a 3-4cm wide strip and done. Anyone who wants to can then still cover the entire length of the tape, you'll see there are hardly any (see pictures).
It can be great around the corners (door frame, the corners of rooms) place, and also the bend radius is surprisingly small (estimated less than 5 mm). It is safe to move even under the most trim, I've not made - was not necessary.
Dimensions:
The cable is about 1.5 mm thick and 6 mm wide.
The plug fits easily through a 14mm hole (it should also fit 13mm lt. Circle template).
In the pictures you can see how easily you can set it anywhere, and how little we see of them. Is with me, of course, not quite invisible, but I think it does not bother me.
Now for the results:
Instead of 6-8MB / s, I now 110-120MB / s (MB / not MBit !!) So you can now fill a NAS sense.
A few tips yet for Setup from the network, because at the beginning I only had 11MB / s (ie 100 Mbit - the GBit has at the beginning do not want). First, all other 100Mbit devices from the network take ZB old laptop or PC with only 100 MBit network cards. Likewise, the power LAN adapter off / unplug.
Then in the Fritz box in the Settings area in the home network (Fritz box 7390 with me) change the LAN ports of energy saving 100Mbit to 1Gbit PowerLAN.
And then you can finally enjoy Gbit Ethernet.
And I wanted to buy even 600 Power LAN Adapter for beyond 100 to get to "maybe 20-40MB / s".
Lay the 15 and 1,5-2h cable and the slight optical disturbance of the "peace wall" in some areas of the apartment have it fully brought to me - I can only recommend to anyone!
