My December (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Defenseless against self-imposed conjecture causes the album title, one imagines naturally a sad torn up a Kelly Clarkson. But what is already the Message of the first single "Never again" suggests, takes place largely through the entire album. Aggression, a lot of noise and heartbreak with a rock touch have become to Kelly's new trademark. Clear the beginnings of this are already clearly visible on "Breakaway", but some songs overstretch the taut with honestly felt Fansympathien form for the two-time Grammy winner. Songs like "Hole" and "Yeah" dabble with many guitar riffs and Wumm into space and let a chorus difficult guess. Better managed, yet not quite fit are catchy "One minute" or "Judas". Variety promises "Haunted", which is very noisy, but sets up a nice creepy atmosphere. Large boredom contrast with "Can I have a kiss" and the hidden track "Chivas", whose triviality I would never have thought Kelly Clarkson. Sugar in the ear in turn in "Still", a sweet pop ballad schmaltzy. But despite all the misgivings I know what Kelly is able. At the latest on track four (if one was not entirely convinced of "Never again"), in "Sober", it shows all what 'ne rake is. A fantastic ballad that seems so sensitive and vulnerable, that alone for this song of the entire album title could be. Another highlight is the minimalist song "Irvine" in which you somehow distorted hears Kelly's wonderful voice and at first does not recognize immediately. Unfortunately, "My December" not so varied, not as new as "Breakaway", but Kelly does not repeat itself. She is brave enough to try to lyrically and musically and shows us looks like your world when in December the sky is full of guitars.
