I have not really enjoyed reading Mrs. Dalloway. The plot seemed bland and themes supposedly addressed that could interest me they really are treated in this novel? I find it hard to make the relationship between the history of Septimus, depressed and suicidal, and the main thread of the novel, the only tenuous link between Clarissa Dalloway and Septimus is the invitation of the psychiatrist Mrs Dalloway in her reception end of story. Homosexuality between Mrs Dalloway and Sally Seton? nothing ... Yet I was attentive to the slightest reference to the author, having read on wikipedia list of protagonists starts playing in romance, or I was lost trying to figure out who was who ... Brief For me the novel is really too subtle, the author has written it t to be read? or for herself?
