Well, added: After such tracks Mountain Ersen from its recent past, I already mentioned my va "Into Darkness", but also "All is Hell that ends well" from the TSFH album "Skyworld" I expected va also plenty of sonic experimentation and of course sufficient influences of electronic music ...
The there is in this album definitely accepted presence. The listener encounters here but rather the "classical" Thomas Bergersen, as he is known and estimated also and especially by his "Illusions" album:
Great-symphonic set of percussive strings, wide Blechblasapparat,
plenty of percussion, a pinch of electronic objections and bass reinforcements and epic large-scale and rousing theme tour in combination with soloists or groups vocal passages, to use orchestral "exotic" instruments such as, inter alia, Pipe and Whistle ...
... In an expression: cinematic music in epic large format.
And that makes Thomas Bergersen again with a so noticeable passion and dedication, even and especially in the detail that you miss just nothing, if you're looking just for such a music, even if Bergersen his bike clearly not reinventing here, but rather "Illusions "send in a second round. But that must not be perceived negatively: this music simply does not wear so quickly, just by the catchy melodies and the richness of detail, and therefore what creates no monotony ...
And just the last track of the album ("In Paradisum") shows up but then another side mountain Ersen that will not be explained further at this point and thus betrayed ...
For fans of the trailer music, such as Audio Machine, Epic Score, of course, Two Steps From Hell, as well as Thomas Bergersen solo this album is highly recommended, precisely because it is able to stand out from this division with a compositionally higher level.
A completely typical and therefore completely successful Bergersen album.
