The Noiseblocker XR1 comes in a small cardboard box. There are 4 rubber pins in the attachment, which promise a noiseless mounting.
The fan itself feels very valuable, not cheap or fragile.
After I had the old fan removed, it went directly to the installation of the XR1. When ReadyNAS the fan change incidentally designed real easy - unscrewed left side cover and to get to all the necessary places. As it turned out quickly, the fan could be in my case not fix it with the rubber pins, because the screw holes of the NAS are too big and slip the pins so. Very unfortunate. The screws of the old fan unfortunately did not fit well.
From a Ausschlacht PC, I then can take and use the screws of the CPU fan. The screw holes of the XR1 had unfortunately no thread. This has then virtually even cut through the use of screws into plastic.
Now the fan holds bombproof. Vibrations I have not, I wonder if the XR1 direct contact housing has.
Since installing the XR1 is almost no longer hears the self, which really surprised me. Only the installed server boards make even a slight noise, but the fans can not help.
I'm with the Noiseblocker So really super happy and have not regretted the purchase!
