I write a little note here to talk about the set of "The fraternity of Panca" not to make a review of the book "Brother Elthor".
So far I had read Pierre Bordage that the trilogy "The warriors of silence" that I found excellent. It was there a long time so I do not indulge in a comparison of the two works.
I am not a literary critic: this is therefore not a criticism per se, but only a summary of my feelings during and after the reading of this work.
When I saw among booksellers P. Planking began writing a pentalogy I gnawed my brake until the release of the fifth volume, abhorring to start reading something that I would not have the end.
So I just read, nay, devouring the five pounds in 2 weekends.
This work is for me more a mural on mankind a pure space-opera.
The position in space and time is the setting for addressing various topics such as:
1) self-surrender for a cause
2) the search for spirituality and fanaticism
3) the complexity of relationships
4) the place of sex in society
5) instead of the company's minorities
6) the malfunctions of democracy (lobbying, single thought, paralysis, media)
7) ...
8) ...
9) ...
There are many more and I could not be exhaustive, is almost certain that everyone can find what speaks to him personally.
So, of course, there is also a main story that held me spellbound throughout of the oeuvre with twists, suspense, emotion.
There are also plenty of "secondary" stories that further increase the value of each book and allow discussion of the pre-mentioned themes.
As for style, it is very well written, but rich in language understandable to the common man.
A few typos, dubbed or missing words punctuate books (which unfortunately is becoming the rule in contemporary literature). This does not impair understanding but it is still sometimes difficult.
Finally, I took great pleasure in reading this work and advise all those who are willing to be touched and to let themselves move in their certainties.
