I have the software package iLife bought 11 because the program iDVD no longer included a new Mac.
But as I like to use the program and wanted to have again, I thought, with buying and custom installation of the software (ie only iDVD) would have done that. Unfortunately, that was a fatal mistake !!!
if you insert the iLife'11 software to install, you will be at the latest at the point puzzled where to select the components to install.
iPhoto is already vesehen with a hook-and grayed out, so can not be disabled. Well, as you might think, a Mac was supposed to be so smart and remember that there is already a newer version of iPhoto on your computer. Yes denkste !!!! it is somehow installed over it and on completion and "successful" installation has shot down his beautiful iPhoto: Error Message - The program can not be started because it is missing or corrupted themselves!
over the iPhoto icon sets a kind of "go-no-more-symbol" and that was it.
Great, great, great !!! to save iPhoto, you must first download and install the App Store, iPhoto again.
Luckily it worked for me. still a nice shock when you sit in front nem brand new iMac.
