Who wants to charm his audience, should not come to outlandish ideas, nor to dig deep into their kitsch box. Enya is one of the few musicians who succeed in such balancing acts repeatedly wonderful. This winter album was going certainly a challenge, but again does not degenerate Enya's music despite typical Weihnachtslemente for hard mayfly. Shares cheerful Christmas songs, religious hymns and ballads are so thoughtful well dosed that the album can fit into any emotional drawer. Various aspects of the winter season can be reflected in the songs. When beautifully sung "Oh come, oh come Emmanuel" are thought of an old church in rural Ireland not far, while the lively "White is in the Winter Night" recalls a happy Christmas with the family. "Stars and midnight blue" in turn is certainly one of the most romantic songs, one has ever heard of Enya. Enya's song on this album is so wonderful as usual and looks compared to the previous albums even sovereign. The so typical for Enya superimposing of votes was purposefully used where it is the music and beneficial due to many quiet moments drowns the album not in polyphonic bombast. With "Oíche Chiúin" than last piece of the CD you meet an old classic Enya, who was, however, finally re-recorded. Who has been looking forward to something stylistically new Enya, is likely to "My! My! Time flies!" like: In this song guitar sounds are not only finally (by a guest musician!) to hear, but you could even dance to it.
With "End Winter Came ..." Enya has therefore designed an absolutely recommendable album, which is characterized by its variety of great-composed and arranged songs and managed makes while listening for a cozy atmosphere.
