For over four years, is with us in addition to a "classic" cable-prone vacuum cleaner newer technology and a cordless electric broom from Kärcher in use. This unit will play but not only priced in a different league; on the one hand only one stage is present, meanwhile, is at a battery charge after about 15 min Final (I bought a spare battery), due to technical reasons "returns" but this broom simple but adequate. For inserts in between I have the equipment regularly and often used - but now it tends to be ripe for retirement: The AEG AG 5012 can do it all better in several stages and also holds through longer, the comparison of both devices is of course not entirely fair.
Here in brief are my impressions:
+ Convincing suction performance -. Where the main use is in our flat carpet area, such as living room and stair-step on our light soils can be seen quickly crumbs etc., which are absorbed easily, and unwanted hair are well recognized
+ Good handling, not too heavy and easy to transport
+ Quite long battery life, depending on the power stage (three available) to 60 min operation - 25.2 V are in the upright vacuum cleaner range, a top value, so a second battery is not mandatory (at least in our household)
+ The advertised AEG brushes agreement function I knew until now not - super! Hair o. Ä be. Cut simply using blade and can then be sucked up, finished. The tedious and manual removal of the brush thus eliminating the need in the future; as we hold no great pet, but also do not have to be soaked up so many hair regularly
+ Rotatable double joint allows flexible vacuuming, for example to the chair legs in the dining area, or the corners on the steps -. Very convenient
+ The additional light is unusual but useful
+ Can be detached off (with or without charging station) (and is not covered by) - space-saving, the most stable is the sucker but m. E. Charging Station
+ A self-cleaning filter completes the comfort from (here, however, is still a long experience worth collecting)
+/- Spare battery (? Price) is probably not required when hand-held vacuum is to be used regularly as a battery lasts well tend not - calculate depending on the living space
+/- No quick charge - when using a battery you have to wait about 4 hours until the battery is full again
+/- The volume varies with the performance level (ie can also be loud)
+/- No removable handle is integrated - that would, for example, for the bed was very convenient.
+/- Manual is ok, but several languages and thus is larger than necessary
+/- For house dust allergy is the dust collector bag without suitable tend to be impractical or not so good
Good standard vacuum cleaners also cost money - who looks for comfort with great suction power and adequate battery life at a high level, will find it here - but the whole thing has its price. (Also) for us is the AEG AG 5012 is the perfect second vacuum cleaner. Solid performance, but not a bargain price: 4 thick points
