Customer Review

Oha, Meat Loaf will's time to try again completely without Steinman ... can that work? We remember controversial albums like "Could not Have Said It Better" or the disaster "Midnight At The Lost And Found". Combined with the likewise not by anyone deemed glorious impressions of Meats Sangesqualitäten the last tours one does not go entirely unfounded as long-established fan with skepticism to this publication.
All the more rapt you are, you can hear the first sounds of sinister "Peace On Earth" that generate a epic mysterious atmosphere before it comes to a break, so that the song and then from full pipes with hysterical strings, piano music rock'n'rolligen powerful guitars drauflosprescht and equal makes you feel at home.
Significantly hard rocking album comes along than anyone previously knew of Meat, which is not least due to the warm, earthy production Rob Cavallo. So songs like "Love Is Not Real" and "Song Of Madness" clearly dry and sober therefore come as a "Bad For Good", but this is in no way negative to understand the guest soloists Brian May and Steve Vai blaring but some neat audibles on the fingerboards.
Experiment shows the meatball in so far as that he sometimes with chilling West Coast guitar surprised ("Los Angeloser", which should by now know each fan) or knitted in too pompous and complex choruses omitted, but it a try with "Na Na Na "tried and even so perfectly entrain and captivate white (" Running Away From Me ").
Less, but not miss out the ballads that Meat Loaf has used something to inflationary in the past for my taste. "If I Can not Have You" with Dr. House actor Hugh Laurie on piano and duet partner Kara DioGuardi precisely because of Sangesleistung Meats irresistible. "Did You Ever Love Somebody" starts quietly, then rocking but more and more of a pathetic feat high. Patti Russo is also back on board with and sings with Meat "Let's Be In Love" which still seems a bit trivial at first, later quite unfolds its charms, but ultimately still belongs to the weaker pieces.
Since there are clearer hits like the written by Jon Bon Jovi and Desmond Child madness catchy "Elvis In Vegas" at the end, going or against insults only so bristling smash end of "Like A Rose" with Jack Black very under the skin.
Although Meat Loaf hardrockigeren on this album sounds theatrical pathos granted the privilege to make it with his songwriter Ensemble to create new unusual way bombast to touch to rock or to captivate and with an insane voice that still all the ups and depths of the circle of fifths roams - whether or not, thanks to studio equipment, well know only the participants themselves - so in the end not a fan is likely to be disappointed.
