With mixed feelings bought ..

..and happy as never before. Caveat: it had pre-ordered from Amazon on 27/02/13. When I. In the Saturn at 06:03 went to my cracked Nexus 4 to bring the repair, I risked a glance at the mobile division and behold: For 599 mosquitoes was available immediately taken (because I'm one of the impatient ones) and the "replacement mobile" was in my possession. Packaging / L-scope / First impression:

The packaging has not optically so promised me, but does not matter really. That was funny, it was a sticker debitel one of the openings and in the package was a small flyer advertising of debitel plan. There were also 3 pre-installed apps of debitel. The device itself has something very very nice, have fallen in love with the design. It is a compromise of classic design and feel. Through the glass, it can look very sophisticated and the "round" corners it is wonderful in his hand. However, in glass are my "fears" tall (am a little clumsy, s. Nexus 4). I can just barely operated with one hand. Do not be thick Patscher or sausage fingers, but are not too thin. My fingers are not necessarily very long, just average. The SIM carriage is made a bit unfortunate in my eyes, because you have to pull it out a bit awkward (at least you need not needle). But did not bother me. The supplied slides are really great and have passed almost exactly, just a shame that I've managed to burn the front foil somehow, but there are indeed already factory films on it and if you really look closely you can see this very well. Unfortunately, it attracts dust thereby magically magically .. but I brought a leather booklet bag here at Amazon (among other things because of the history of glass). The Lock button looks really great. I like very much, I hate it when it's just a small "stroke" is the one "feel" need. The positioning of the volume keys on the speaker located on the right side at the bottom was getting used to, as most VOL keys are left on the side above. Had only concerns about the speaker that you could cover it during operation. But the device offers much more grip surface to the size and to me it has not happened yet, I've covered the speaker.

Great theme Android OS and its staff formality / functionality / usability:

I have to mention, the Xperia Z is the first smartphone where I have downloaded no Swype. Here Sony has nothing saved in settings. I "Swype" Yes very happy, quickly and easily. Battery:

In the beginning when I set all power-saving modes, stood there actually remaining battery life: 4 days .. well, would have greatly surprised me really. Through my permanent "fiddle" and try all kinds of things, it then but still 1 1/2 days endured (does not have a smartphone yet managed directly from me to start). In an excessive use as follows packing it in section 1 1/2 days: Per day "opportunity gamble" with WLAN as described above, data network to (LTE contract), GPS and Stamina mode with Whatsapp and about 10 SMS call a handful, checking email every hour, short time surfing the Internet and listening to music for about 2 hours (on the drive via Bluetooth and home to strapping same via headphones). The Stamina mode does not actually sooo noticeable, but the Xperia also shows indeed pointing to the more apps you have, the more noticeable to make this mode as it unnecessary in the background running apps disables the data service (Wi-Fi or mobile data) use (Caution here I would add Whatsapp as an exception, otherwise the news comes only when you re-activated cell phone. LED is not working in this mode, too, should not also.

Camera / Photos:

The camera is not as bad as some people say. I find it shoots great pictures, even in mode "automatic superiors". Although I have read, even better results are achieved by selecting the appropriate scenarios. You can set various things. On the camera I do not mind, Panorama, multiple images and and and missing person. The flash is powerful. So far I could discover no big pixel noise. Only in poorer Lichverhältnissen the camera doing a bit difficult (at least with the superior mode) but that's I think also on the given circumstances. Even with a digital SLR camera can build a lot of rubbish and who has been using a smartphone to professional standard photograph. What I criticize in the camera is that the camera app really times need to be very very long time until it is ready for operation. I very much hope that this "error" is fixed.
What also bothers me: I can if I want to access the images, for example access via Whatsapp, only on "My albums", so to say the self-made. You still have another album created (eg Amazon Cloud downloaded pictures), so you have to move these only from Download folder to the default folder for images, so you can access via Whatsapp or like it .. a bit programmed unhappy, would but you can display the same on the Galerieapp ALL Biderdateien in the system.

Music:

I mainly listen to the Sony MDR1RNC headphones music (and traveling by TuneLink adapter via Bluetooth, as a last resort) .Einfach bomb of sound. As Audiophiler I would not describe myself, but that's for me but already listening to music on the upper class. The other headset included I can not rate because not used. The settings are very large and versatile in Walkmanapp. I like it very much. However, I mostly use the app the amazonmp3 unfortunately is not very customizable. Because of space I let almost everything from the cloud and stream go home. Therefore, I put a little bit in conflict with the players .. but I could only hear my music through the cloud Walkmanapp. I am well aware that I can expand the memory, but I do not at present since this memory would be too limited and its actual me no limit to the Clound known at amazonmp3 (except the imported titles that were not purchased at amazonmp3). Without headphones it can also be really great listening. But I'm not such a fan of, but the quality of the speakers is very satisfactory! Could no creaking noise or notice at high volume.

Is it really waterproof?
There are plenty of videos on Youtube. I do not trust anyway try. Today I saw even a video, there's a into the water of a swimming pool jumped with the current video camera (YouTube User helper syndrome) and has filmed underwater .. Apparently he has but the device can not operate under water (otherwise as the Xperia Z Tablet will be loud advertising). Conclusion:
So far, in addition to HTC One X + and S3 the best smartphone I've ever owned. And I have a few (too) many besessen.Ich Like This truly immaculate and very device wants me absolutely still buy the Xperia Tablet Z, when available. Sony is somehow lost the last years with me, but that you have a direct hit landed, mind you that the marketing of this device also not neglected.
