"Without Cable"

- Introduction

Describes certainly not a function which is indispensable, but with increasing use of smartphones and related charging frequency is here to have a meaningful and especially cool additional function. Since the original cradle of the Nexus is not yet available in Germany and the Design (I prefer simplistic design) appealed to me rather less, I have made myself to the search for an alternative. After an extensive internet research I came across the induction charging station of Zens.

- Packaging and texture
After a quick delivery of 2 days I was able to find a decent home packaged and undamaged package. When unpacking, I was initially surprised by the compact size of the device, since it made a much greater impression on the pictures. However, I see this in no way a disadvantage, because the device is thus transportable and sometimes can be quickly stowed in a small pocket (size: 11 x 9 x 1 cm). In addition, the device looks very robust, and especially high-quality impression.

- Design
As described above makes the device a very high-quality impression and the design is kept simple and compact to my liking. The status LED on the right is clearly visible and is perfectly adequate in brightness. The mark on the surface shows intuitively the loading area on the appliance must be placed. In addition, the surface of the device is slightly roughed to prevent slipping of the mobile phone.

- Function
After 2 months of intensive use (every day), I can report no errors or problems in the product. Only in the first test-charge I needed one to two attempts for the perfect placement of my cell phone on the charger. The start charging after recently confirmed the LED lamp (orange) will flash with a green light and when fully charged, the unit automatically switches off (the status LED goes out). In the charging time, I could see no significant differences between charging cable and the wireless version. Charging takes when the battery 2.5 to 3 hours.

Despite the roughened surface of the Zens charging station the Nexus 4 is rather insecure on the device. However, this is solved by placing the rather inconspicuous anti-slip stickers.

- Price
49.99 Euro sound at first glance something much for a charging station.
However, considering that you get for a really cool gadget with good function, email looks and robust processing, the price is justified in my eyes.

- Conclusion
From my side unrestricted buy recommendation and never annoying scratch on the bottom of the pesky cord plugging :-)
