1) SKIRT OR BUST - Pooh, a heavy mid-tempo start, the overall concept of the plate but consistent - the first simple Riff is enhanced by the second guitar in the song course - the refrain bugging me somehow, but remains in the ear
--- 4/5
2) PLAY BALL - At first listen, I was somewhat disappointed by the first drab-looking design of the song - after the 3rd or 4th run of the first single dawned on me the genius of this composition. A planned thoroughly song structure, the individual song fragments flow smoothly into one - a songwriting like old AC / DC-hours.

3) ROCK THE BLUES AWAY - direct in the first verse I remembered the incredible resemblance to Song 4 of its predecessor, "Anything Goes" on - and indeed, it is 1: 1 the same verse melody. The chorus nervous the unspeakable chorus effects - somehow too much glutamate, somehow too "Whitesnake" or "Poison" - too little AC / DC ... now I Skippe this song only. Weakest track of the plate!
--- 2/5
4) MISS ADVENTURE - Oh yes! After a low point following my personal highlights - this reef, this groove, the "Nanana" s - it was not clear from the ears, from the legs - everything is in motion!
--- 5/5
5) Dogs of War - And on it goes, the old men appear in the middle part of the plate turning up properly - a great atmospheric beginning, the very reminds me of the sound image forth to the title track of the 90 "The Razor's Edge". Thematically, the song moved in similar spheres as "War Machine" from its predecessor of 2008 - only somehow less poppy, more interesting - I like it.
--- 5/5
6) GOT SOME ROCK & ROLL THUNDER - Now it is Motown - What ?! - Yes Motown! An earthy Groove, Claps, "Ha!" S and "Ho!" S - the song itself invites Hard Rock Allergy to dance ... AC / DC show here Soul ... Unfortunately the song is not as well thought out in the long run, somehow missing since the element of surprise ... good anyway.
--- 4/5
7) Hard Times - And we stay in the groove-rock, but somehow Similar tracks my colleagues better than me ... nothing special, a bit reminiscent of "She Likes Rock N Roll" - but not disturbing. The groove on the other hand - somehow you groove all plate immensely: D
--- 4/5
8) BAPTISM BY FIRE - Oh. My. God. That's it! An eternal addition gezögerter chorus with a surprising phrasing that invites directly to it with a clenched fist to emphasize with ... madness - such rhythm is me at AC / DC post "Back In Black" new! Absolute personal favorite on the album and a real surprise. Here everything is right - Angus' guitar work, Brian's vocal performance, Cliffs bass and songwriting.
--- 5/5
9) ROCK THE HOUSE - Again Oh. My. God. This time, however, because of the title - and yes, it's actually the text. Rock the house - hey, I've never heard of ... a bit very stuffy for AC / DC. Are you serious ?! Well ... the reef is again good, a bit reminiscent of Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog"!
--- 4/5
10) SWEET CANDY - Unfortunately, the strong level of the middle part flattens somewhat, it's back towards midtempo Stampfer - somehow I have this song no association. Meaningless, but not to evaluate negatively.
--- 3/5
11) EMISSION CONTROL - Well, well ... so as a pun with 14 perhaps more fun, but with the 60 it works then but somewhat suspect - but they remain loyal to stop, even if a Bon Scott in the face of such puns probably turning in his grave.
To my ears the song wants to be a second "Black Ice", a similar structure, a distance similar reef - but the spark jumps initially not quite over. Meanwhile, I have but then closed it in my heart. At first hearing, it was a disappointment - "What ?! That's been his intended ?! Probably the last AC / DC Studio Song ?! Hmm ..."
--- 4/5
CONCLUSION:
All in all a short drive with a playing time of almost 35 minutes, but that's a good thing. The songs are limited to what is essential - compared to its predecessor, there is less boredom, less filler.
The board actually makes fun, is probably also acquired at me as vinyl.
I reckon my individual assessments together, I'll be in exactly 4 stars out of 5 - and so be it then.
Plus points for a special presentation or textual sophistication can not expect AC / DC easy.
The lyrics are "In Black Back" simply too much flattened after, in my opinion. The failure of Malcolm Young, so bitter it is - he did not fall so much weight. You can tell that he played a big part in the songwriting yet, the play of his 58-year-old nephew Stevie Young is almost identical.
"Rock Or Bust" is a worthy late work in my view and is the by now only 3 original members to shame.
