Far from being original (condensed God of War and Ninja Gaiden), Wolverine is a game which nevertheless fulfills its functions of beat'em all perfectly. What happiness to finally slip into the skin of Logan! Side scenario, it takes a little plot of the film, although some cutscenes show different choices. Level course, we alternate between Wolverine's quest to wreak vengeance, and his past, namely a secret operation in the heart of the African jungle, which will be his last under the command of Colonel Stryker, the adamantium poseur. So, we are treated to quite varied environments, arriving not too tired, because one passes from one to another regularly, sometimes within the same level.
Now entering the heart of the game: the (very gory) fights! As said above, nothing new, but the agility and power of Wolverine are a treat for the player. Far from the sentimentality of the film, this game is a good big butcher, who now Logan in a bloodthirsty killer identity, closer to that of comics. The real plus in the range of strokes is the ability to pounce on its prey from a distance, allowing to mow his enemies flitting in all directions. Otherwise, fast attacks, strong attacks, taken "quick kills" and other classic beat'em all are present. Despite its lack of originality, Wolverine is still a very enjoyable game to handle.
Kill your enemies earn you experience, unlocking skill points to boost attacks and vitality of Logan. Moreover, the original costumes from the comics are unlocked through figures collected in the game Hugh Jackman's detractors do not have to to worry. Draped yellow / brown (or blue) is available!
Furthermore, beat'em all successful, Wolverine proposes to remake the game as we see fit, choosing the level requires in order to reap all the upgrades and bonuses. So good potential for replayability.
Finally, the flats. Afraid to be a bit repetitive, and especially on the boss. There is no real time "shock" in this game, as there has been so much in the two God of War for example.
Like Wolverine? Like the beat 'em all? Go for claws!
