I bought several copies of this book: for my class, for my grandchildren. The illustrations are superb and cater to the imagination. The treated anecdotes are those of the great moments in the history of France with their share of legend: The vase of Soissons, Roland Roncesvalles, etc ... They are strong cues to establish a chronology, and also the mainstream of history: for example, the strengthening of royal power during the Middle Ages that will lead us to the absolute kings ... A beautiful book that thrills that teaches that we discover or revise elements of what should be our common culture, which caters to young and old! Régis GAUTIER
