I use the HD558 to a Sony STR-DH520 AV receiver without any EQ functions or the PC in conjunction with a Creative X-Fi sound card.
Sound:
The highs are great and not exaggerated. The basses are the whole opposite in a pleasant relationship and are not overemphasized. Here you can for example not be compared with a beats-KH, which is rather designed for low tones. As always, the whole thing is a matter of taste. The headphones generate a pleasant sense of space, the sound is very clear and detailed. The frequency band is for normal people more than adequate.
Comfort:
I was a circumaural design important, so also for hours listening remains pleasant. This feature meet the HD558 perfectly. The ear cushions are very soft and comfortable, not too hot. Another advantage: The very soft padded hangers. I have worn many sample headphones, these were by far the best.
Befitting the HD 558 equipped with a 6.3 mm headphone jack, a 3.5mm adapter is docile enough, at.
Conclusion:
A highly recommended headset that is absolutely worth the money if you use it at home in connection with the appropriate hardware. Hardly beatable comfort, even for larger heads, is made possible with the hours of listening.
