Many people liked his time singing by Detlef Job and especially Heino Schünzel with his strong accent Hamburg not particularly, but both were not half as bad as those Austrians who committed the Novalis for their next disks as lead singer. And if job and Schünzel raised their voices together, they sounded even heavenly good.
However, the album begins with an instrumental piece. "Dawn" is a very nice example Pink Floyd influenced Style Rocks.
The then following "miracle treasures" is one of my favorite songs ever. Perfectly balanced melody together with a beautiful text. The latter is based on a 1798 poem created her famous namesake, the romantic composer Georg Friedrich Philipp Freiherr von Hardenberg, known as Novalis. In particular, the exuberantly sung line 'I drop' him crying in the arms / I also was once like you Zumrut / but I recovered from my Harme / and now knows where to rest forever 'can I still move you to tears.
For many, however, is the protracted over a whole disk page title track "Summer Evening" To date, the ultimate Novalis epic, and I can quite understand this concept very well. Lights, candles, eyes - and then just listen and enjoy.
This album impressed both by each of its three parts and in its entirety. It is his deep, almost curative effect almost never miss. Music and words grow a warmly and stay there forever.
Novalis made with EVENING so crucial to be aware that the rented concert halls were increasingly larger and their panels always sold better in the next three or four years. Strangely, however, they reached neither with this nor with any of the following albums ever the charts.
As early eighties then the German New Wave swept across the country, Novalis had fairly soon pitted - a fate that befell other bands with force. Their last album before the separation was 1985 ironic name resigned after us the flood, and the opening titles was "The show is made".
Today, many years later, at least stands EVENING rightly so far ahead in the line of ancestors of the German, but above all of the German progressive rock. And Novalis are long its legends.
