Packing:
The stick is securely packaged, but the packaging is sized a little too big. One can easily see the stick. On the package you can also see which chip is installed (Europe, USA, Japan, China). One should check whether the correct chip was sent first. In the package there is the stick, a CD with drivers and a quick start guide in English. The packaging is a text that the drive under Linux, Windows and Mac OS to run. In addition, the word "Green WLAN" is printed, which has to do with the power consumption, which is less than 100 mAh. Most Sticks draw considerably more juice, hence the stick also works on the built-in USB ports at the Raspberry Pi.
Installation:
I tried to stick with Windows 7 and Raspbian (wheezy) on the Raspberry Pi. The stick works plug-and-play, you have to install anything, which makes the Teiber CD superfluous. Under Windows 7 you have to just simply connect, wait a few seconds to enter the passkey and you can be on the internet the stick. I call that Simple!
Under Raspbian it is similar: The drivers are in the current Raspbian image already included, it is installed a Realtek chip. Sudo apt-get install firmware-realtek reports that the version is the latest. Now you only have to edit the config files, and you can already surf, download packages, streaming web radio and much more.
Test:
Once traffic is, the little blue LED lights in the embroidery. Of the 150 Mbits of Stick managed 145 Mbits - a very good result for this price. Even HD videos (1080p) I could stream under Raspbmc with this stick, without stuttering. For this size that is outstanding! The install packages under Raspian works very quickly. The range was me at 20 m, then there were short disconnections. For this price, but that is manageable, and 20 m are not little! ;-)
Conclusion:
For this price you get a very good WLAN stick, which can even stream HD video. The installation works on both Windows 7 and Raspbian very fast and very easy. The range is outstanding with 20 m for such a small stick.
I would buy the stick again.
