All of the TV box HDMI resolutions are supported, at least until 1080i50 therefore. 60Hz 720p and also go by.
I use it to connect an old projector, the best entry is VGA: directly connected to the converter box + VGA cable 10m. (The connector, HDMI + VGA male female, favors the position at the source.)
I did not test the sound output.
