Karl Jenkins has made it great with Adiemus, combining ingeniously classical and folkloric composition. The world music aspect is reinforced by an artificial language reminiscent of African and Amerindian syllables. The words sound nice and are very singable. Surprising harmonic progressions lift the piece but then from the folkloric to a higher level of composition, without being intellectually but this happens in a very natural way. The piece conveys width, freedom, grandeur and has the force and imaginative orchestral and choral arrangement an immense appeal that probably almost every person who likes to listen to music, deeply touched. A "must" piece :-)
