Anna Maria Jopek has a great voice, as done for jazz, world music and pop, her first English album "Secret" was a highlight for Vocal Jazz lovers and also her work "ID" had certainly found his friends. It took me a little longer before I have gained this album, because at first it then acts but somewhat unwieldy and for me it was all too much "world music mess". But this work combines a high level African music with Slavic, Mediterranean sounds, some jazz and New Age with the Polish language. This has partly strange, so I do not really get used to a few places in songs in the middle part of the album, the then yet to act my African or Turkish, such as the beginnings of the tracks 5 and 6 and Track 8 (I hear well a little Adiemus out?), but the start and Endsongs (1-5 and 9-11) are totally succeeded for me, top orchestrated, sung sensitively and sound like balsam and are so new to my ears. Strange and rough edges, yet so catchy. Unfortunately missing at this international version of great songs that can be found on the Polish version ... so "only" four stars.
